If so, then why do you think they haven't done anything about it yet? We've been addressing this problem, with lots of constructive suggestions, ever since the game released. We're still waiting on SE to do anything. (Ok, they did add blacklisting. But that's a far cry from taking care of the problem.)It is enough that FF 14 ARR was made to appeal to a western crowd and if we use the avenue SE gives us to express our desire for the RMT/BOT issues to be dealt with via suggestion email, forum and more as a unified voice put in a constructive response I think they will do something about it.
If only there actually were a feedback forum, I'd agree. But since there isn't, feedback winds up in General. (Actually the lack of a Feedback or Suggestions forum is itself rather telling about SE's regard for players' concerns.)

Seriously SE, can you please do something about this already? The first thing (literally, the first thing) I see upon exiting the inn room is a THM clone army, all stacked up on Baderon and then teleporting away one by one. The very first thing I see.(Well that and a "new" Support Desk notification about a message I already read and dismissed, but that's another thing.)I'm a veteran, I've been around since before the beginning, I'm (sadly) used to the phenomenon. But I can't imagine what it must feel like for all the new players. Heck, it even frustrates me. And I'm not new by any definition.
Most new players who start playing on Heavensward won't stick around for this reason. But SE seems content to let their digital world burn... at least in North American servers. Have read people complaining about this even on other sites now, the word is becoming more widespread. If it's like this on HW, SE will become known for this by the general gaming public. It will be a certain black mark for the western market they wish to sell to.Seriously SE, can you please do something about this already? That may be the best way to get SE to address the issue, at this point. I would encourage people to start sending in submissions and requests for articles to be posted on popular gaming sites, highlighting the issue as the plague that it is. once IGN, PCMag, and Gamespot start making articles, and creating actual bad publicity, maybe it may be addressed.

Again, this is why we need a chat filter.
I barely ever use /tells in the game, but when I do, the people I talk with tend to use properly spelled words and proper, basic punctuation. Give me the opportunity to filter out tells that have double spaces, or spaces before periods, or any letter other than "I" or "A" with spaces on each side of it, and I'll have solved like 99 percent of my own personal RMT spam problem. The same would probably apply to most others, too.

To add to it - like I said, this morning I logged in very briefly for mini cactpot (having had to skip yesterday and most of today). Exited the inn room, there was the THM clone army.
Now I log in, go to GS for cactpot, return to LL - WHAT DO YOU KNOW, it's a BLM clone army just as I port in!
This is just getting too much even for me.
Edit: and while I was writing this, I received TWO RMT /tells from two different characters, advertising two different sites. /thumbsup

If you could hide yourself from Player Search (not friendlist/linkshell/free company), they wouldn't be able to find us.
The only conclusion you can make in the face of their silence is that they are benefiting from this at our expense and until we vote with our dollars or cancelled pre-orders to get their attention they will keep giving us the virtual finger. It is what is. At some point annoyance will exceed fun, I will find something else and I will not come back.
