Yeah, I knew why, but was still nice while it lasted lolThe reason for this was the boom of players that had returned, making the servers so full that RMTs couldn't get in. Once the nomadic players had their fill and left again, the RMTs were once again afforded space to conduct their harassment. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, the reason for the reduction in RMT in that time period wasn't because of any anti-RMT measures that SE implemented, but rather because of a resurgence of legit players.

Rmt are still a thing in Excalibur. Its honestly very annoying, and makes the game look like a F2P game in their pervasiveness.
I've abandoned any thought that this will be addressed like that. I mean they tried with lock after so many spams but I've turned off PM notifications months ago never to be turned back on.

I don't understand why we can haven't a "report" option right from the text chat window. It would capture the body of the message, and make that user not be able to send us tells for 24 hours, etc. No black list, etc Then SE could review the message and determine if it was correctly reported. If it wasn't, then perhaps the person who falsely reported could have some type of penalty. Something that would have them click yes, twice before it when to SE with a warning message.

Really, they want all this information, message, character name, server, zone, time, date...I don't understand why we can haven't a "report" option right from the text chat window. All stuff that could be automatically pulled from the server with a right click report spam feature...
Make it easy to report and more people would do it...
Make it a hassle, and less will do it.
It shouldn't be that much trouble to implement, I wouldn't think. It's a basic function. That they haven't done so can only lead me to surmise they don't see it as much of an issue. Doesn't seem as though the policy will change anytime soon.Really, they want all this information, message, character name, server, zone, time, date...

That's the problem; reporting is such a hassle. You click 'report an RMT trader' and then you even have to type a title for the message! That's before you start filling in all the required fields. When you've done all that, nothing happens for a bit and then you get a message from support flashed across your screen and more prompts to read the reply and close the ticket.Really, they want all this information, message, character name, server, zone, time, date...

All of that is disruptive of play and completely unnecessary.
I'll be honest, I don't report as often as I did. I'll often let the first /tell pass and only take action if I'm harassed repeatedly.
Please Square, make this easier, R Click and report from chat window at the very least.

In the Next letter of the producer people should just SPAM the question ... "What are the developers planning on doing about the tell spamming going on?" Spam the question about 100 times until they have to officially answer.
Their answer to that would be something along the lines of "We're working on new countermeasures which will be available sometime in the future."
like lets be serious on all other mmos except this one you can right click the persons name and report spam.
