HoT Static Raid Group 3 Recruiting

Hands of Time (HoT) is recruiting for FCOB raid group 3 T10 Progression, one of the five raid groups we currently have. The raid group fell apart but we are now rebuilding it with new people and a new raid leader.

We are currently seeking COMMITTED, FRIENDLY, and COMPETENT people that know their class that they will be playing. Still need a PLD, WAR, and a melee dps (MNK/DRG/NIN).

RAID times are currently Mon, Wed, and Thurs but can change

Times for raid are 7-10 PM EST. TS3 is mandatory and since it is a Free Company raid group, joining the FC would be preferred.

We are usually on around noon until about 10 PM EST.

Why join a static when FCOB is unlocking next week? Have fun, learn and perfect the mechanics, build a bond, and have a group to be ready to clear new content with when expansion hits in a few months.

Hi, dont take what i say badly but why TS3 is a mandatory thing?

Mhmmm Mhmm I see I see. Yes. Let me answer your question in a 3 part essay followed by examples and various whoha.

I lead my own raid, not Sou Nami's, but I wanted to log in and chime in real quick on this topic because it is incredible annoying when you do not have someone on TS3. My own personal opinion by the way. First, although many of the turns can be done without talking or without direction, it never hurts to have someone just in the back of your mind saying hey, maybe don't go right and take that tether on T11 into the other tether group. Also DPS have a problem with tunnel vision. So its nice to say something like hey look tanks got the tether, you guys can relax, zone out and just dps. Also, as you will notice in T13, there are times when something random will happen.

Your tank will take an extra slap with flatten, or a tower will drop and you have 4 people who are running around trying to be a hero. But lets use the best example, ball phase. TS3 is incredibly useful for this. Lets say you were dpsing as a monk, you accidently take 2 balls instead of just 1, you can just say, shoot i have 2 hit me with a stoneskin please. and its done, no problemo. But with no TS3...you would have to 1-stop dpsing, 2-start typing, 3- you are already dead because rage of bahamut went off. But wait you say, the healers should be paying attention to this. Nah the healer should be paying attention to that flatten that is about to destroy your tank, or that add that has just tail swiped your bard and he needs a heal. i.e. TS3, OP.

Secondly, lets take out techniques, lets ignore all required mechanics etc. you blast through t10-t12 in an hour and a half tops. good stuff, but no offense it is kind of creepy to raid with no one chatting and having a good time. The whole reason of TS3 is so that you can get on and say stupid stuff that makes you grow as a static. Like when jako can't dodge a divebomb. on TS3 we go, oh boy here goes jako, and boom he dies, we laugh, we bond, many fun times are had. This will keep your static together for longer, which is what you want because replacing people is a pain in the ass. If we did not have this TS3 someone would not be able to hear we are just joking around and think we are serious about how much jako sucks.

Lastly TS3 is only a requirement in most raids because not only as a Raid Leader can i take 2 minutes to explain a strategy but after you try your t13 and you want to talk about various other strategies you can take 10min after raid toss those ideas around and see what will work best. Or just take 30sec after a wipe and be like okay asuna, you tried baiting the side cones really close to the boss on t13 and you died, probably not the best idea, lets go back to normal. Done and done.

I guess in the end it is all about how far you want to go with your static and how well you can maintain in deep space with no communication from the outside world. I always have people hop on TS3 even if they do not want to talk because ain't no body got time to type out a 3 paragraph essay to answer a simple question. Damn I should have used TS3 to answer you on this...stupid idiot me!

You can use teamspeak on phone to. But this is what we want and expect. We dont do macro groups and our focus is progression and long term groups. More fun to chat. App is lile two bucks for phone. But yeah.you can save alot of time by chat. Keep mood light so u dont press. Masta made alot of good points
