OP bots don't farm fates, they stay put in one area and kill the same mobs over and over again for days at a time and the majority of players know how to recognize one.

This is not true. People will use BOTs to farm FATEs if they don't want to waste the time tediously leveling jobs. I've known someone personally who openly admitted (though in voice chat, never in game :/ ) that they used a bot program to level all their classes with solely through FATEs. We didn't stay on friendly terms for long, but you can't really report voice chat conversations to a GM. I tried to find him actually botting to report (I don't care for cheaters...) but he was never online when I was, so I just let it go.

I was referring more to obvious bots that players might pick up on. I'm aware that complex bots do exist for everything short of raiding in this game but most players will not recognise those as bots. Someone online grinding fates over several days would not be recognised as a botter unless they were behaving in a very routine manner. If the OP was talking in /shout then even more reason why he would not be accused.

I'm trying to understand why anyone would suspect him of being a bot as it feels to me like he might be leaving something out that caused people to grow suspicious of him. If, for example, he lingered in one spot and only did one fate that spawned in that location each time it popped... that would make people suspicious. I suppose the question to the OP is just how actively he was roaming the map and pursuing fates.
