To be fair, you never ASKED for any hints or advice.. You just complained about people leaving you behind because they didn't want to sit around and wait for you to finish watching cut scenes.. Do you remember how long your cues were for Castrum and Pratorium? I can't imagine being a very shorts one especially as a DPS.. Now, you figure about 6 or 7 of the people you ran it with were people you claim you would like NOT to run that content with.. So applying a very simple linear Mathematics, you can at least expect your queue time to quadruple from that.. Likely more because you'll have to wait on that one healer or tank.. That kind of already exists in guildhests.. So be careful what you wish for. Unless you want to wait in queue for 3 hours, the way it is set up right now is the best you can get out of it.

Also, if it bothers you that much, get your own group together, you're not putting in any extra effort to do that. FCs will usually help their member go through those dungeons and wait around for you to watch the cutscenes.. But you're expect that from just random strangers who join expecting a 20 minute run to extend it to a 40 minute run just for you? 7 other people? I believe that is pretty close to dictionary definition of selfish as you can get..

If this is the first time you've ever gotten an advice in the game so far, maybe you need to realize this is an MMORPG, social aspects are quite heavy in these kinds of games, join a good FC, find yourself a home and get a close knit group of friends together. You'll enjoy the game more.

As far as watching the cuts scenes later in the Inn goes, I know some people that would be bothered by that greatly and wouldn't consider it to be the same experience.. I don't understand it, but hey, once my friend gets to level 50 and he's ready to start doing those dungeons, I'll have my group of friends ready for the full run with time to watch cut scenes in between. It's no big deal if we can get a premeditated effort going with a full party.. But to expect that from a Duty finder group?? Unless you're really lucky and run into a pre-made FC party and they happen to be nice enough, you won't have that kind of luxury. Unfortunately, it's a design flaw and the work around is not optimal.. But without it, you wouldn't be able to get through the main story either.

Think about the one content that don't have the added incentive to go back (Battle of the Big Bridge, Gilgamesh fight before Gold Saucer)
It took me 5 days to do it because I kept queueing at 2am and it wouldn't pop until 5am so I would just go to sleep.. So one day I just stayed up til 7 in the morning and that's when I was able to get in..

OP is asking for that same thing to happen with Castrum and Praetorium..

You can repeat the content. Run it and ask for help learning all the fights then run it again and tell your party you are going to watch cutscenes since you skipped them on your first play through and would they mind if you just caught up with them later. Or watch them in your inn.

No you can't. Any of the cutscenes that are tied to the quest rather than the dungeon won't play again after you've passed that point in the quest. You only get one chance at them. If you can't get a full run on your first time through the dungeon, then you never will.

What 'main quest' are you talking about? Storyline quests are not repeatable unless you happen to have a party which you invited some high levels to. In which case you tell them you've never been there so please do not go speed running. As for cut scenes, you can view all the storyline ones in your inn room.

I'm wondering for those who forcing newbies to skip cut scene during run, will watch their cut scene at Inn also for their first time content after Heavensward is release.

Getting a kb will help you immensely.
That being said, nobody can force you to not watch CS. You have just as much right to watch those CS as the people who choose to skip them.
If you like the storyline then I strongly suggest you watch the CS.
A little bit of communication goes a long way. So as long as you are kind people will usually respond positively.

One thing that can help you get the runs that you want is setting up your own group through party finder.
However, if you queue up in Duty Finder then the experienced players should be aware that not everyone wants to skip CS or speed run. It is courteous for them, who have already cleared that content, to be kind and let you experience it as it happens. Watching CS later in the inn is a cop out used by impatient players.

Also if people just happen to be massive jerks, report them for harassment and, if the situation is bad enough, leave.

Well, I've never "forced" anybody to skip a cut scene.. In fact, I've never even run past and left people behind.. I've actually never run dungeons with people who thought it was acceptable to just make everybody else wait 5 minutes while you sit back and watch a movie. Sure, a new person may watch the entrance cut scene for maybe a minute or two, but if it drags on any longer, they usually say something so that we know what's going on. Usually, they don't make us wait for the entire duration though. But I've never ran a dungeon with somebody who'll sit through the whole thing without feeling like they're dragging everybody else down.

I HAVE run a few dungeons where the entire party was waiting for the cut scenes and that was helping out FC mates, friends, or PF groups.. Never in a DF.

But since you asked about what some people who don't care about cut scenes would do, this is me.

I've never watched any cut scene in the game in its entirety.
I'll be skipping past the ones in Heavensward as well. If I'm that interested, yes I can see it later in the Inn but chances are, I won't be that intrigued anyway.
If later on, I do have my interest piqued or have questions about the lore, I usually just watch the cutscene compilations on youtube or I read about the story to get the full in-depth story.

Call me uncouth, uncultured, unable to enjoy a good story, whatever you want. But one thing different from me and the people who DEMAND their group all slow down so they can enjoy the cut scene is.. I will not be a disservice to other people simply for my own viewing pleasure.

I kinda get what he's saying. I'm a newbie Conjurer (and being a healer makes it even more noticeable), and most of times I go into dungeons or Guildhests, "pro"-tankers begin pulling before I can cast protect, keep telling me to skip the cinematic, "pro"-archers and lancers start "tanking" because they think the newbie tank is too slow, black mages start casting only the Fire spell because they're too tired of doing the same dungeon for the hundredth time and so on.

What's the point on doing that? I'm not on some e-sports league, I WANNA HAVE FUN! Do you want to play with pros? Search your party outside of duty-finder, but if you're using it, please, at least RESPECT the ones who are starting with the game. Don't rush them, don't make fun of them if they made a mistake, don't let them behind just because you think they're slow.

Like I said in a different thread about this, Square Enix absolutely needs to fix CM/Praetorium so new players don't have their experience ruined.

Allow players to do them solo with NPC party members, or make cutscenes unskippable if there are first timers in the party but increase the bonus to compensate.

I actually have a question, and I apologize if this is a dumb thing to ask. Is there anyway at all to talk to your party members while you're in a cutscene so that you can inform them it's your first time with the story quest dungeon? There's been multiple times where I've asked the people I'm playing with on Skype who are ahead of me to thank the tank in my stead for being patient, but it would be nice to know if I could do this myself if I'm stuck without those people on Duty Finder.
