I would totally clear target, but as a blm, sometimes it's annoying to stay with the target til death because when it's at the final 10% or so health, the melee dps usually knock that off before I finish casting a spell. So I tend to change targets when it gets that low.

For my speedruns in the Ethernal Quest to look for the items to drop on dungeons, I use BLM... yea... those melee bastards, killing the one target we are casting our spells on :|

But its easer if, while you are casting something, you get busy searching for the next one with the most hp... well... those melees will always manage tho...

Trying to cure non-pt members during a fate or hunt, though... Then I share your pain.

This is why I like Target of Target and mouse over macros. Everyone else though, fend for yourselves!

Almost had a wipe in T10 once when the second sons and daughters spawned in the second add phase, they both ran to the middle and try as I might i just wouldn't target them start panicking and the tab goes passed the targets, try to click on them directly and i just click imdugud instead..

The worst is when you accidentally pull something because you tab targeted the wrong thing with an instant cast spell. ;_;

Or when you're playing ARC/BRD.

If in pt I just press F2 = TANK then press T = target my target.
If I need to clear trash then I press F4 = other DPS then followed by T = target my target.

In Bennu phase etc its pretty valuable.

Have you tried it with numblock 0 ?

I tried to make my targetting as close to that of XI's as I could. So I actually use NUMLOCK 0 as my target button for NPC's/Objects.

Why not just use the mob list then? ^^;;;

Clicking on mobs on the list is great and all but often times while your moving the mouse to select the monster on the list, an aoe pops up and owns you :P So better frontal targeting would be appreciated.
