    Battle Arena in the Gold Saucer.

    Can we have this at some point? With the nerf/buff reels feature as well? I think this could be a real challenge for players in groups to participate in and fight instance bosses/adds. But instead of tomestones it would all be for MGP with the arena reels being a large factor in the battles.

    If you think about it, a lot of the nerfs from FF7 arena reels can translate well over to 14.

    Lower item levels by factors of 5 or 10.
    Poison everyone.
    Turn everyone into imps.
    Mini the players for a period of time.
    Break our accessories (But not to a point where we'd have to repair them... or maybe make it so that we do making it more meaningful by way of having something come at an actual cost of dark matter.).
    Make it so that offensive buffs can't be used.
    Make it so that defensive buffs can't be used.
    Make it a challenge for us and have the reels be different each time in whatever order.

    I think it would add a good spin to the combative side of the game if there were a battle arena in the gold saucer that did this and had us go from fighting adds from Amdapor Keep in a room to fighting Ifrit hard mode and slowly upping the difficulty of this gauntlet through several rounds of different enemies. And as we'd progress while keeping the surrounding aesthetics that of a Battle arena as opposed to tossing us in the instance surroundings.

    This is a good idea, and I hope it does get implemented. The Battle Arena was a core feature of the original FFVII Gold Saucer, and it'd be cool to see here as well.

    Really would like something like this in game. I feel it would complement the current battle/instance system well.

    PS: I'm also a sucker for gauntlets / fighting bosses in a row with increasing difficulty.

    Probably because some Jobs would excell greater than others.

    If they do this, they'd have to seperate Job Classes per arena battle... Tanks in one, Healers in another and DPS int he third. Even then, a SCH will have an easier time than a WHM, and a War would kill much faster than a PLD

    What I meant was for a party of people to go in and fight together as opposed to solo while the entire party is subject to the reels nerfs or buffs. (But honestly it needs that FF7 feel where for the most part you are at the mercy of the reels.) Also, I am pretty sure if they give nerfs across the board that affect item levels, accesories, status's, and debuffs it is a level playing field for everyone and no one will have an advantage since the entire party would get hit by a ilevel 10 down debuff for the rest of the battle arena gauntlet.

    And the jobs could dictate the mobs you fight in the arena when doing solo challenges....or even just have solo vs mobs, pairs vs. mobs, light party vs. mobs, then full party vs mobs. Could give them flexibility in prolonging content. Instead of farming dungeons, you could fight in coliseum battles fighting different enemies and offer unique rewards for each job based on fights.....they could extend this game with that idea forever....just keep adding to coliseum, and even have a coliseum storyline/questline. OMG i want this. That way, hey i can't do end game raiding but i can fight difficult fights in coliseum.

    As long as the awards for Battle square can only be earned via battle square i'm all for it. MGP should remain cosmetic, use Battle points for more useful battle square rewards.
