    Abolition of physical level: dev1072

    Now I don't mind getting rid of the physical level. I've just come to love calling them ranks. I've adjusted my terminology from tnl(to next level) to tnr (to next rank) and I enjoyed calling it SP instead of EXP. I just wish I could continue calling it Rank instead of Level like every other game does. I'll be looking forward to when the attributes come back after 1.20. I'd feel upset though if it was reset to their liking tho. I had my stats the way that I wanted them to be. i hope in the future you will still get to adjust your stats AT FIRST then not being able to touch them have what class you are, effect your stats. I don't want to get stuck with terrible defense or attack after this, and I enjoyed having my crit. hit rate high.

    Level => Rank

    I don't like the idea of not being able so allocate my points like I can now. Also I never voted to abolish physical rank. Not to say that I'm against it, but I don't want my points assign with out me having control were they go.

    I agree, I like to have the customization of stat allocation, it adds flavor. If anything they should add individual classes having their own personal stat allotment. If that makes any sense.

    That or just remove the timer on stat reset, and give the stats a little more meaning. Being able to put points into elements is a great thing.

    physical lvl

    I'm totaly against it. to me the idea that i can progress my MRD while crafting or mining is 1 of the things i came to love about this game... gives me a sense that im reaching for the top w/o the need to farm one thing endlessly till i get to 50... if the prob is physical lvl overpowering in lvling up a new "job" just put a limit on it... or reduce the xp u gain on physical, make it harder to lvl it up

    Well, we will still be able to assign points...but will be less points. They are doing this because most people ignore the fact that a balanced character would be overall better than one with all points in 2~3 attributes, which makes things worse to balance. Tanaka tried to make people balancing the characters with the food system, but people prefer to just claim food system is broken and keep the full melee or full mage allotment.

    I do think it is a correct change balancing-wise...its much better you have an automated allotment and just a few bonus allotment points for a fine-tunning than having only the bonus allotment.

    But yeah, i do am against physical level removal...always was. IMO its very depreciative gameplay-wise...i think physical levels should generate the automated allotment of every class, offer the bonus allotment points but just hightlight the attributes above corrent rank cap...this way the player would be aware he already was above cap if he had high physical level and low rank class.

    But what is done, is done...now thank the FFXI playerbase for this and embrace the clone world, where everyone has the very same allotment (since bonus allotment might not be coming back anytime soon...if it was meant to return in 1.20 they wouldn't put "1.20 or later").

    Now I Think those who don't balance themselves out, well it's their own problem. they should care for their character more if they want to be successful in the game. it is not a bad thing to have to learn what stats will work best with your playing style. to make things beneficial to how the person wants to play. those who don't really pay attention or load up all on one stat cause their own trouble and it's their fault they have difficulty with the game. If anything A tutorial should be available to those who are uninformed. Perhaps make it a small reward npc quest? that might me nice for the DEV team and such to consider.

    And personally I never saw what food did either. I never ate much to experiment, tho those I did, I didn't see a visible and/or obvious stat change.

    But all in all, yeah Dev team might do best not listening to the whining of stats and such and make food bonuses more noticeable, and~ insert tutorial content for stats themselves (optional) sidequest or whatever...

    You want a balance of the stat allotment and blame the main advantage of that, use your points in ur usefull stats....

    I like to balance the stats, and i agree with the abolition of the physical level, is so sad to see people with 150 in some stats and other with 10....also is a lack if you want to level jobs of diferent type like conjurer and marauder.
