Open with foe and battle voice.
Are deaths likely? keep some mp for ballad incase healers run low. Paeon a physical dps if he dies and his invigorate is on cooldown. Paeon a tank as soon as he is resurrected.
Is it a longish fight and do you have melee dps? Be prepared to be asked to play paeon.
Is there an aoe section and are u with physical dps? Paeon.
This will all come from experience really. You should foe requiem as much as possible while taking everyones tp/mp now/later in the fight into consideration.
If you are in a static this is even easier. You get used to the timings that party members need tp, or even mp.
Does Foe requiem works for physic player tho? what about mana pot? which one should i use?
Foe is only good for magic users/attacks; normal attacks of Bard, Dragoon, etc don't do anything.
Also unless something goes very wrong, you should be able to let Foe's run out if you start at the beginning of the battle. By the time a healer needs MP your levels should be sufficient enough.
After that first run, eyeball it though. Is the healer getting low, are they DPSing a lot? Then maybe save a little for Ballad. Is there an abundance of melee in the party and they're going crazy? Someone may need a Paeon.
I use hi-elixirs sometimes, if I feel the need to elongate a song for some reason. As for that I don't use them.

Magic damage only. Sumoners, scholars, blackmages. Ether is super useful, as above said, to simply keep on singing. Also good when the bard dies, to instantly get a good start on refilling that mana bar.
Foe is good for BLM and SMN always, WHM and SCH if they DPS, and NIN once a minute if he's using Raiton. Don't go out of your way to sing for a NIN, but if you're just standing around before a pull, there's no reason not to unless the NIN isn't going to Raiton for whatever reason.
As far as ethers, I personally preferred to keep an X-Ether on standby. An X-Ether should be enough to keep your healers afloat for a while with ballad even if you didn't have much MP before using it.
So let say if my party doesnt have any magic dps nor a ninja do i still have to use foe in the beginning of the fight? and as for pots seem i am "new" to the game so i prolly cant get the X-ether pots anytime soon =/ i am going to start learning alch soon so i can craft more mp pots.
Thank you for all the replies!
X-Ethers come a dime a dozen. They are incredibly easy to obtain. Just run the dungeons and you will easily get 5 a week if you do daily roulettes. Ethers probably won't be needed in dungeons but EX primals, coil, and the towers.
In these cases I usually wait a few pulls to see if the healer is bothering to DPS, if not then no it's not important.
Or, you can just ask them "you gonna DPS" that may get a faster answer, haha.
