as many rounds of steady hand II - > hasty touch using Masters Mend I to get back up to 40 as you can then finish with normal wombo combo

I don't use MM1 much with Lucis. I'll use it occasionally, but I prefer Manipulation. Odds are I'd be following the MM or Manip with a SH2, anyway, though there is the oddball time when I follow it with a Comfort Zone. Point being, if you are careful using MM1 over Manip can delay spending the 25 CP on SH2 .. using Manip over MM1 can save you 4 CP for the same 30 Durability healing. Its just a matter of using the correct one for the circumstances. If you're going to do anything that does not consume Durability upon MM/Manip, use Manip. If you need to use a move that eats some Durability, use MM1.

^ this. Also there's a 20% (or is it 25%) chance you'll want to use TotT after your manipulation/ MM I anyway, making manipulation the better choice.

As to rotations, well just figure out what you need to do to get your progress finished (it's really not so bad on those recipes) and after that it's nothing but SH2, hasty touch, durability repair, etc. until your finisher, which should include at least Sh + GS + BB, as well as perhaps innovation/ ingenuity I/II. I think I used innovation if I had the CP and no 'good' proc (don't think I ever ended up having an excellent proc for the finisher on any of those synths).

Oh, for stuff like Twinthread and Vanya Silk and Darksteel Ingots/Nuggets and Spruce stuff, I tend to do the following :

Comfort Zone, Inner Quiet, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, Hasty x4, Careful Synth 2, Manipulation, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, Hasty x4, Steady Hand, Great strides, Innovation, Byregot's Blessing, Careful Synth 2. Byregot's, of course, can be moved up after the Great Strides if a Good or Excellent pops up. Just don't use Tricks during a Waste Not and you'll be fine.
