    GM Controlled NPC's in Story Events acted out live.

    This was a very cool feature of The Matrix Online before Sony Online took over development from Monolith.


    At scheduled times, The GM Staff would log in as Main Story Characters and act out public Storyline Events for all the players to participate in or watch from the sidelines. Sometimes they broke out into massive NPCGM+PlayervEnviroment Fights where the Players and NPCGM's fought against huge hordes of monsters and enemies invading an area.

    These events were Epic, I'd love to see some show up in XIV. Right now we have GM like NPC's show up yell at the players and cast buffs then disappear. Still pretty cool, but would love to see it bumped up a notch.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

    That sounds pretty nice!

    Probably not nearly as interesting as those ideas, but a little different from the GM showing up and casting buffs...

    Last night on Saronia we had a visit from Kipih Jakkya, a reporter from The Raven. She appeared near the repair NPC in Ul'dah and soon a big crowd gathered around to see her.

    Being a reporter for Gridania's premier newspaper, she was traveling around asking players about their experiences and what they know regarding the Garlean invasions into Eorzea.

    It was a nice bit of role playing and quite an unexpected bit of fun. ^^

    I'd rather they focussed on getting the main GM services right before thinking about this.

    Wow, that is some pretty cool news. I hope I get a chance to meet some of these GM npc's. Thanks for sharing the pic's!
