Content you don't play?

Just curious, and maybe it would help get a general picture of what people don't bother with - whether it's catching all the fish, doing the relic grind, discovering all the entries of the sightseeing log, mastering desynthesis, accumulating MGP, maxing out PvP rank for all three GCs...... anything.

Of all the available stuff in this game, what is that you ignore? Maybe didn't even care unlocking? Or unlocked it but that's it? Tried once or twice for the sake of it and never going back to it?

What's the reason? Lack of interest? Bad mechanics of some kind? Difficulty or time consumption or requirements? Something else?

PvP because there's never anyone to play with.
I'd really like to earn some of those war steeds, but one of the major problems is that PvP is very dead.

Other than that, there's nothing I haven't/don't do. I can't imagine never trying something at least once.

I'd love to try Frontlines, pick up some of the PvP gear, but not even being melee helps with those DPS queues, especially for the Immortal Flames...

Also, beastman dailies: I have unused Oaknots for years, but that grind put me off finishing the three tribes I haven't done yet. Haven't even started the Kobolds yet.

Also also, savage/final coil. Clearing the first two was enough to put me off raiding for as long as the "high-stress" raid is the only style available.

I try to do as much content as I possibly can. However, I am staying away from Chocobo Racing for now due to some of the unbalanced nature of the races, namely with abilities like Choco Dash being overpowered and abilities like Choco Silence being underpowered.

Years? How so? Isn't the Ixali the most recent beast tribe and it hasn't been a year for them.

PVP - I tried to get into it but having to incorporate about a dozen new actions into my gameplay in order to be successful... no thanks.

Sightseeing log - picked it up, never did a single vista.

Beastman dailies - being limited to 6 a day is annoying for me personally. I'd like to be able to grind it out at my own pace (Which could be 30 one day and then none for a week and then 4 another day.)

Years? How so? Isn't the Ixali the most recent beast tribe and it hasn't been a year for them.

It's also the most profitable and the only way to get access to items used in making BiS crafting gear.

For me, its PvP. My prospects of obtaining an ADS mount was completely shattered when I found out it was from getting Frontline wins. 200 of them. Class balances aside in regards to the objectives, the queue times is horrendous, and I can't even queue with my friends because of the GC restriction that was implied to be abolished at the end of 2.4. You got something that's not fun and inaccessible, and WELP.

Most profitable as in about 20-30k per quest. Crafters should have better ways to spend their time than that

Well that was really weird.. quoted you for the second paragraph when it wasn't even showing on my screen.

Anywho, for myself the content I skip is sightseeing logs, fishing, and pretty much anything that takes an appreciation for eye candy. I just don't understand the appeal behind them.. Especially sightseeing, I try in maxed out graphics settings as well as lowest, I just don't feel any awe from looking at the scenery.

I don't PvP as I find it bland/basic/boring and not worth my time reward-wise (exp). I avoid Golden Saucer entirely except for Catcpots. Same reason as for PvP, the games get boring super fast and MGP is pitiful. I don't do Coil cause lockouts put me off it during the first round of Coil dungeons and I never wanted to pick it up again. Oh... and Guildhests. Why do we have them again exactly?

I've tried to do a little of everything--just finished the sightseeing log, working on the beast tribes, do some PvP when possible, craft, gather, etc., but I have not been able to get into big fishing. It's just too complicated/doesn't seem worth the effort it to me. I've also stayed away from chocobo racing, mostly because it sounds like a massive MGP suck to raise the chocobos.
