RMT Advertising on Leviathan Server is Off the Charts!

Excalibur has been getting a bit worse now also. I think there used to be two different websites that the RMT were spamming for now there is a third in the mix. I can get one tell every 5-10 minutes sometimes or sometimes like 3-5 tells in the span of 3 minutes. There are like tons of people with /busy on almost constantly now, and I also put it up sometimes.

I also used to have the /tell noise setup so I could hear if a friend sent me one but I've had to turn it off since it just ends up annoying me cause of the RMT spam.

All I have to say is the same bot farming wind shards in bent branch since last summer. I see a lot of bots all over the place on the server. We are never going to get rid of RMT tells as long as the bots are running and making gil 24/7. What SE needs to do is permanently ban anyone buying or selling gil and people will think twice about buying gill if they know they are going to lose their account.

They do though. If you're caught doing any sort of RMT, your account is banned. And believe me, people know the consequences...do they care that much? Not enough.

The busy feature works to stop tells, but It also hinders the ready check in dungeons. A good fix would be to allow us to apply a tell filter in the user settings menu.

You could set it to allow tells from FC, friends list, Linkshells, and then a field for all others. By not checking that last field, those rmt's will not be able to bombard you.

Its pretty bad on every server I feel like. I pretty much only log on to do my daily stuff (maps, cactpots, etc.) and coil. Other then that I log out cause I get 4-6 tells in a matter of minutes. Its VERY annoying, so I just log out and play other stuff.

Really wish SE would get the hint already with all these RMT complaint threads and, you know, ACTUALLY do something about the issue! >_<

Its pretty bad on Sargatanas you get around 20 an hour now.

Yep, I know of whom you speak. He's also using speed hacks given how damn fast he gets between those nodes! I've also never seen him repair gear, even when one day I was farming alongside for long enough for me to need to repair. Even if they can't get him as a bot they should be able to get him for the speed hack.

I never have to deal with RMT on leviathan, but that's only because I have a separate tab for tells and the tell sound is off. My chat log has been peaceful for months.

It's pretty depressing that I have to be /busy all the time. I like chatting with friends in tells, and I can't do that because I'm busy and they're busy and everyone is busy.
