[AFTER 31st March] - PS3 Collector's Edition >Which PS4 Edition?

Hi,

I think I won't be able to get a PS4 before 31st of March; will get it in the following months though.

I am owner of 1.0 Collector's which turned out in PS3 Collector's.

Once I'll buy the PS4 version in order to move my account on PS4, which version should I buy in order to retain the "Legacy / Collector's Edition" status?

the basic game, the PS4 game will give you access to PS4, the collector edition is common to all platforms.

Basic game: the standard version
Heavensward: the CE version

CE items and bonus items are not bounded to a specific platform. Once registered you can use them on every platform.

I already pre-ordered the CE of heavensward so should be fine with the standard version of the basic game.

I know that I need a ps4 key to play on the ps4. But say I opt in for the free upgrade but don't have my ps4 yet. When I get my ps4 will I have to buy ffxiv arr or will I just be able to download arr without repurchasing off of psn.

From what I understood, yes, you will be able to paly on PS4 with that account without having to buy it. You just need to download the free laucher.
BUT, you won't be able to play on your PS3 anymore once the transfer is done.

All your need to play on a platform is for the platform to be listed on your Mog Station profile under "Account Status" (It's the part directly at the top left. There will be an icon for each version unlocked)

From there, you only need to download the client and you should be able to access it from that platform.

You'll need that version for the expansion, too. So make sure you plan for that, too! And don't forget they'll release a standard ARR/Heavensward bundle, and the standard account can be upgraded to Digital Collector's edition, too. Look at your options, and see what's most cost-efficient for you. :3
