When u sell stuff on PF or looking for party members it gets a bit trollish when u hear tht /tell sound only to see its rmt spam lol.
Ur face-> -__- -> .-.
I also put my self to busy when i craft during the off time on my server to avoid the spam. But then i was like maybe i'll turn it off for a bit, then bam in the first minute i get bombarded with rmt spam that fill my chat log as if ppl were spamming emotes in the time of my life GATE.
I was like not gonna blacklist 10 rmt bots so i chose the busy status again.

While I'm not positive this has EVER really been a basic of ANY kind of advertisement, in the case of RMT, it is DEFINITELY not a priority. Much like spam e-mail, RMT advertisement is LUDICROUSLY cheap. You can cast a net as wide as you like, and if only 1% of 1% of 1% of people are not annoyed by it (or ARE annoyed from it but still are willing to buy gil), then you've made a profit.
When advertising is essentially free (and even a PAID SUBSCRIPTION is close enough to free to warrant this) the ONLY rule is to do whatever it takes to ensure that potential customers become aware of your product.
