I wouldn't really want to knock a mob away from me as PLD. Especially if all it's doing is generating emnity. I'd rather have a gap closer in the form of pulling a mob to me.

Shield charge as gap closer/snap aggro tool for paladins would be pretty nifty. Maybe with a root/stun effect to help when it comes to chasing down adds or loose mobs that try to get away from you.
I'd like to point out Elusive Jump is a really handy gap closer as well as an escape measure.
A shield charge/axe rush skill with a 0.5 second stun on the target could be good. Easy way of catching mobs chasing healers and BLMs around and also a much more fun pull move than throwing your weapon at a faraway mob.
