Fishing WTF

so I been trying different classes, including fisher.
The rank 20 quest involves going through an area with LEVEL 76 CRABS!!!!
Who the hell designed this?!

Maybe there's another route to get to the final destination. SE (for the most part) tries to avoid making DoLs seek assistance from DoW and DoM to clear a path to get to where u want to go.

This is very untrue, after the quests were added, almost all leves and quests makes you go through highlevel aggro enemies. This is why they are making the stealth spell atm. To bad you need it to get to rank 38 to get it for >50 enemies.

When I took botanist to 46 I remember some quests were a pain because yes I did infact have to slide through aggro mobs. I went the long way and had to be very patient for certain mobs to turn their backs, but I did eventually get to where I had to go. I hope this is the case with your fishing quest though :/

Well, fishing in Limsa areas is annoying cause of crabs though, those high-leveled freaks! And i never got to abuse the rank 10 nodes either because of them!!! aargh!! xD

No, it doesn't. There's a different way to the spot you need to get to. I made the same mistake, and figured it out when I realized that the way I was trying to go was sending me through a high level area. Look closely at your map, and you should be able to figure it out. Good luck!

The spot is on a beach smack dab in the middle of a lower level area surrounded by cliffs. the only entrance to the lower level forces you to run through the mobs to get to the area. these are level 76 mobs, which I can't even get through on my 50 LNC. Yes I tried to get through a different way, there wasn't any.

No, you get to that beach though a cave entrance just south of the bearded rock camp. No aggro mobs at all. If you are coming across those crabs, you have gone the wrong way.

Amiricle is right. If you're running into level 70+ mobs, then you're going the wrong way. In fact, you can't get to where you need to go by running through that area. Look for the cave to the South.

But if you insist that I'm wrong, feel free to keep running through that area. But I think you're going to be disappointed with the way it turns out.
