And lastly is it better to run story as a dps? I seem to have a lot of trouble running some quest as a healer.

I don't know that it's easier to complete with DPS, as healer jobs have good survivability, but for players who want to level several different jobs and those include DPS, I recommend using doing Main Scenario Quests on a DPS class, just because that's a lot of quest XP that can be given to one of the jobs that has a harder time getting dungeon XP due to long DF queues.
