Ideas for Flying Mounts

I just want gliders at some point before we get real flying mounts, the kind that you can easily kill yourself on or end up a long ways off if you mess up in pathing. I imagine some Lancer/Ranger division putting you to the test on them.

As for when we do get flying mounts, I just hope they fly some realistic physics involved. I don't want to move as slowly in a headfirst full dive on a five-ton dragon gone aerodynamic as I do when it's casually flapping its wings to ascend (e.g. as in WoW). Realistic acceleration and turning paired with some high-verticality canyon- or fjord-like terrain sounds like near-endless fun to me.

Flying mounts destroy all MMO's, because now there are no monsters to pwn you with.

Didn't'cha'know? There be dragons. Though, the likelihood of this turning into interesting aerial combat/chases when one spots and pursues you is fairly low, sadly. But at least death by being knocked off your mount well above the ground isn't something one can escape with gear alone.
