Well as far as I know, repairing items from the shop seems to repair my items to a certain limit partially, why can't they just repair it 100%? Do you have do that yourself in order to get it there? Let me know thanks.

Yeah, you must repair yourself or use another player's crafting abilities to repair to 100%. This is also WAY cheaper than using the NPC once you get higher in ranks.
Yep. Put the broken stuff in your bazaar, afk by the repair NPC in Ul'dah, go make a sammich, come back and *poof* it's magically fixed.

It's funny cause when you go to "my profile" to edit "location" it actually comes up as "starting city-state" lol, I set it that way because I would've loved to have started in Ishgard.
