Unable to create any characters? (Worlds full)

Anyone else finding it difficult to create a new character recently?

Just returned to the game from a 6 month break, thought I'd create a new character as I want to re-do the story again and now sat at character creation with no world available on Chaos (EU "Datacenter") to put the character on.

I read SE were actually creating a proper EU datacenter rather than running it in Canada but surely they should be doing something about the over populated worlds before then?

Have to wait a while to get on with my pre-existing characters as it is due to world queues.

Come on SE, what's going on?

Well... it's weekend and with the last news about HS people are more interested in FFXIV in general. Normally the character creation restriction is suspended early in the morning and all worlds slowly becomes avaliable for character creation from 3AM to 8AM.

Worlds being full is helpful to reduce amount of bots and RMT chars created on it so I am glad I am part of chaos datacentre with restrictions, it's still possible for people to join though during certain hours. I have noticed more people from other worlds complaining about RMT and I am thinking that's because RMT has moved most of their efforts to those other servers due to worlds being restricted that they used to spam on much more. Less for us but more for them due to restrictions on ours and not so much on theirs.
