    Please do something about the Mudra lag!

    I know during one of the previous live letters Yoshi said it was not on top of the list of things to do (2.5 and expansion coming up, very understandable) and they would get to it eventually, but the NIN is already here, and in my opinion (for what ever that is worth) it is broken and not in a good way. I really like the NIN class in itself, but the lag on the mudra actions makes it very upsetting to play. This issue is also not just people with high latency either, some people with low ping (50-) have reported the same things.

    I have tried just about everything I can think of to alleviate the issue such as changing DNS servers, 3 different proxies (VYPR, WTFast and battleping), and I just cannot seem to get rid of the problem. I am not saying it is entirely on SE, because some people do indeed have lag issues, but I cannot think of any other ways I myself can remedy the problem.

    I do not know if it would require a complete overhaul of the mudra system, or just some tweaks in the way the server accepts packets, but can we please have this issue revisited?

    This has been a problems for Monks like myself who have attempted to macro every position ability to the same key since launch.

    I stopped doing that when I realized it would likely never be fixed.

    I like the idea, but i think they should have just let us use them like normal skills or spells. I mean i just got NIN to 40. Just putting in the ones ive unlocked so far is a hit or miss if i put them in too fast.

    Mudras don't always (or ever honestly) go off at the same time. They are supposed to be a .5 second, but most times its between .75-1.5 seconds. And the real problem is it is NEVER consistent. If it was always 1.5 I could manage this. But usually it is .75 on one then 1.0 on another then .75 on the last, making the combination incredibly hard to hit in the GCD as it was intended to be done.

    Yoshi P's answer was incredibly dismissive and pissed me off quite a bit. It's not all on our, the users, end. SE's servers are crap and they should know better than to create a class that requires servers that are actually working well.

    Mudra (Jin/Chi/Ten) are supposed to all be instant cast, no cooldown abilities. Of course it still needs to activate, so you'll see the Mudra skill icons flash for about 0.5 (or less) seconds. That is how fast Mudra SHOULD combine (a click every time you see the skill icon as available). However, in most scenarios, because of server latency or other similar issues, it is entirely inconsistent in how fast or slow it allows you to click the next Mudra in your combination. Further, any actual server issues or internet problems completely impair your ability to play the Job, due to resetting of Mudra/even more inconsistent timing problems.

    Sadly Ninja has no luck with this. Manual input spikes around even on good connection. One cast it's fast next is so slow I screw the mudra up.

    I do 3-hit mudras in 2-2 way.
    First->Second -> Wait for Second to be mid-cast -> Third->Finisher.
    While I may be losing 1/4-th of second, at least my mudras never fail.

    This isn't even something unique to Mudra, it's simply more noticeable with Mudra.

    I've had plenty of instances on Monk where my combo gets interrupted because, for example, I hit Twin Snakes and the animation goes half off before deciding I didn't actually hit it. Same thing happens with abilities too, I'll be weaving Jumps between GCDs and I'll go up before returning to my original place with the game telling me "No, sorry, you didn't actually use Jump".
