Unfortunately I am at the cap of 200 and there are no deleted to remove at this time. The RMT on the Mateus server has increased daily lately. I completely agree with the rest of your post.My two cents;
I honestly do agree that if mods/admins/whomever does a blacklist check against characters, if its over like 20 or 30, do a little follow up, monitor their activity for a bit. If the game keeps track of tells or whom they're "adding" or "telling" you should be able to tell if its in the 100's and if its 100 different people that should tell you.
I'd like the cap of 200 to be expanded, but, if you get to 200, you can probably go through that list and remove all the (deleted) to get more space.
That sucks. I wish I could provide information that could remedy your situation. At this point, I'm useless.
That isn't a bad idea. Im surprised they haven't attempted to do this already and if they haven't, why not.
We've been suggesting this since the game's beta/launch. They haven't added it yet, and if it doesn't show up in V3.0, there's going to be a lot of people who quit after the first month when the incessant spam ticks them off enough (people are regularly saying this in this thread ). Note the thread started around the launch date, and is still going.My two cents;

Having a "clear blacklist" button is certainly needed given the status quo. Better yet, just have separate blacklists, one for "reported spam" and just "block all contacts from" (which includes searchability) so players can politely ignore people that are just too much, but not actually horrible.
I honestly think that SE should go after the RMT websites themselves. Selling gil for real money is a direct violation of the game ToA.
They probably don't want to get any viruses or whatever for visiting site? Can't be too safe.

They have more than a few ways to prepare for potential viruses and ensure they don't damage anything critical.
I wasn't aware of that thread. Thanks for pointing it out.
While not really contributing much to the overall issue, just in case someone doesn't know, a command that makes cleaning out the deleted in blacklist less of a chore is:
/blist remove "(Deleted)"
I turned cleaning off my black list into a game.
There are two columns. Delete the shortest name from the list, regardless of which column. Keep deleting the shortest name until you are almost out of names. Whichever column has the last name on it at the end wins!
