My idea for Dancer!

I would love for a melee healer like dancer to be added, but there are a lot of mechanics that target healers which wouldn't allow the job to work

My Dancer in XI main healed A LOT of things. At max level that thing was OP, could solo just about anything, albeit took a bit longer but it was like RDM in that light where it didn't really need help but when it did help omg...

Not gonna lie, I would be madly deeply in love with a healer/support Dancer class. Dancer's have always been one of my favourite classes in games, so I'd love to see FFXIV do something with it.

i can imagine a system of dance based on the combo systeme of the monk/pugilist, each skill is a step and give bonus depending of which combo you do.

by the way, i doubt the FF11 dancer will work in FF14, why? the pace of the fight, here even if it's slower than other mmorpg, it's still far faster than FF11, you need to have more fast paced action.

A fast-paced support class with healing capabilities would be a perfect addition, I think, especially for people who consider this game "slow-paced". You could preform "steps", which may even do DPS? to build stacks (the trance idea) and use those stacks to cast big spells, such as an AOE (which you would have to keep your stacks up for) buff/debuff, or something similar to "lustrates". They would be a great support healer, but obviously I'm not the person anyone should be asking for ideas on how haha.

If SE wasn't feeling particularly adventurous- which they never seem to be for the sake of 'not confusing players'- I could see them retooling the mudra system into something for Dancers, you have a bunch of dance steps you combo together and then finish with a flourish to apply some effect.

But I agree, I'd like to see a front-line healer. Anything to break up the monotony of typical archetypes.

i haven't seen any concrete info of him flat out saying a given class is "never going to happen."
