I'm tired of hearing about bots

I hope that the task force really is doing their job and brings the hammer down on cheaters

see...it is obvious that you are the group that lists all migrant workers are illegals that traffic drugs...not all migrants are the same just like not all botters are the same. The ToS says that botters (grouped into 1 category) is illegal. The US laws say that illegal migrant workers are illegal (grouped into 1 category). This, in itself, is wrong. Not everyone is the same. Not all botters are the same. Not all migrants are the same. Not all people are the same. Bots are wrong according to the ToS. Ok, fine, but not all of them deserve the harassment that this lame community gives them. "Burn botters!" "Hang the botters!" "Ban them and their IPs!" Wtf is this? Salem?

Again, SE can't do anything about these bots without 1) Making the game terrible or 2) Doing illegal things that will get the company shut down.

1) There are more important things that SE needs to focus on other than the butthurts that QQ about not being able to grind 24/7
2) There is nothing that SE can do to stop these bots because none of them use hook.dlls (At least to my knowledge)
3) the only real way to deal with botters (without destroying the game) is to use a screen reading program that scans the screen for any 3rd party software. This includes fraps, wegame, xsplit, etc. This would cut down the play base..by..A LOT. It is also extremely illegal.

Face it. Bots in FFXIV are not going anywhere. Your best bet is to just go with it...like I did...adapt and survive.

Like I said, SE has rules and can enforce them, why they're not doing it now may be as you say, they don't feel it's as important as resolving other issues.

So really anyone who reads this can totally see my other point. The reason people cheat has nothing to do with the game, the ToS, or anyone else who plays. Cheaters will cheat and they will make up any lame excuse to keep on doing it. So there's no reason to have any mercy on them.

some bots are harder to detect by just watching compared to a tell
gather bots are by far the easiest to detect, they can easily watch someone run up to spots and use commands(and they are catchable the moment they try gathering at a spot that isnt there anymore)

combat bots are similar with their follow/adjust techniques

crafting is where it becomes questionable


personaly, i want all bots banned regardless

there are more important things for them to worry about?

you act like its the developers who are policing the game and being GMs

no there are seperate teams for that stuff, the devs dont handle botting

so there arent more important things to work on, it just needs to be done

ever heard of pixel bots? Almost all gathering bots are pixel bots. Undetectable without a screen reader.

Lol, seriously thats your logic? So because they exist they shouldn't be chased down and eviscerated from the game (or any game) at every given available moment? Why even bother to play if no one care about cheating and the ilk? They should just give us whatever level we feel like having on any and all jobs, as much gil as we want - hell whatever we want.
