on sale is a term nearly every retailer uses, itisnt misleading when you think on what pre-ordering means, pre-ordering is the act of reserving a single stock item for when the product is on sale :3

if they used the term released that normally follows a free item saying along the lines of "i released my album online" compared to "hey my new album is on sale" :3
