I can appreciate what they're going for with the AF2 or whatnot, since Heavensward is all about Ishgard and Ishgard is a massive theocracy with all the bells, whistles, and cathedrals. They're going for a monastic/nun/priest sort of look with that WHM gear. That said, I did always like how in XI WHM got an assortment of light-duty tanking armor and hammers to beat things unmerciful with. I hope they can do something like that with XIV someday.

The 110 crafted caster culottes are short enough not to get tucked inside long boots so are one route you can take. If you want to use the gathering culottes then you just need boots that end below the knee. It's doable, just tricky!

Also, that BRD Dalmatica pic brings back the memories! =( Very close to my Taru, except my idle gear was primarily JSE instead of AF2. The Dalmatica and Opo crown were a timeless combo though!

Lastly, I must be one of the few people looking forward to the Heavensward WHM AF, I'm going to look ultra cute in it!

The BLM is the best one.
I'm sick of healers looking stupid, especially SCH. WHM is actually cute on the Lala though...the Nun look is very cute.
So disappointed at the SCH as with all the other bad gear healers get...They need to start getting way more creative.

Also would not hurt to have REALLY good seperate gender outfits.
Making things Unisex ALL THE TIME is making things UGLY on healer sets!
And before anyone goes "I'ma guy and I wanna wear a dress" type ordeal, I don't care who wears
what, I just want really nicely made gear...

I honestly prefer the "frilly robes" over a lot of the "gaudy glamours" I've seen people doing.........

I hate to break it to you but it seems like Astrologian will be chock full of "frilly robes" as well.

I like the idea of less long robes and some shorter robes/bilauds, but only if we get some appropriate leg and footwear to go with them.

I've been a fan of this combo for awhile now. It's just different from all the other stuff we get.

    One thing I would like to see is a bit of racial customization between the sets- at the very least they could pay attention to how they scale things between the races. @_@;;

I mean, it probably will never happen, but sometimes...what works for the smaller races will look like crap on the bigger ones.

I want to look bright and cute and maybe a little more high fantasy. Not that the fashion is awful in this game, mind, I think it has really excellent design. But it would be nice if more "pretty" things and more style variety per job.

I agree that the current armors for the mages are generally not pretty and more of the same with not much diversity. Too many robes and not much else. One game I love the armors sets is Guild Wars, and I wish we could get mages sets more like in Guild Wars. There each class has a distinct unique look and still has diversity, for females per example you could get a dress set or pants wih a top instead. I'll show the armors my alts I had there.

    My two elementalists:

    My two mesmers:

My monk (healer class), my necromancer and my ritualist:

    No more robes!

I agree. I have been thinking about this too. Just because we are mages and healers doesn't mean we need giant robes and hats.
