it can work like the underwears from 1.0People have forgotten about the Soldiery set for BLM and SMNs already?
Anyway the designers need to think of how the caster set will look on both sexes. You cannot say you want a pretty dress and expect them to put it in, male characters have to have a version of it as well.
On a male the pretty dress can change itself automatic into a pretty suit.
They could also not only give each gender a own version, but also every race

With the exception of poetics, the gear for mages have been becoming increasingly more fanciful with each new patch. It's like they're compelled to add random potions, satchels, gold/silver inlays just to fill out empty spaces.
What makes it worse is that they no longer makes short robes/ bilauds.

Yes, it is sad that there are no high level bilauds. I think they are the best DoM body model of all. With the exception of soldiery, the gear for mages have been becoming increasingly more fanciful with each new patch. A suit doesn't equal a dress in magnificence, so on males the feeling of the set could be greatly lost.
I agree. However I wish mages could get some "glamour" armor like the kind tanks and dragoons wear and vice versa.
Who ever said that mages could only wear robes anyways. Its not like bulky-looking armor hinders us since we cant move while casting anyways :P
Which is why i love the daystar gloves/sollerettes. They're not your traditional mage attire. They're actually armor....too bad (and surprisingly) the evanstar set are not a palette swap as is usually the case![]()
seems like I'll have to retire my white mage permanently.
and ninja's new outfit isn't good either.
To be honest the whm af in ffxi I disliked a lot and was really happy to see the ffxiv version, much better imo .
I disliked many armor in ffxi.
The redmage hat and body I liked but it didn't had a proper Legg option on my female. It annoyed me a lot too see her skin.
Anyway I do want to see more variation.
I don't like many of the robes because they look too strange to me. But I do like robes in general. Gives me really mage feeling.
I prefer a more natural look.
And why do I have to see part of the bra in some nice bodies? On male they look often much better.![]()
If people have such an issue with how this armor looks, why not just Glamour? Along with Desynth and Seals, this seems to be the only purpose of dungeon gear anyway
Again, why not just glamour? The system exists for a reason. Seems silly to retire a class over an outfit.
