Choco meteors...too many...

I have a feeling that the items are going to be seeing some sort of change in the next patch, even if it means mixing them up differently to better avoid those frequent combo Trollteor outcomes.

The luck thing though is kinda just what it is lol. The fact any beneficial item appears is purely luck, and that's perfectly fine to go with. If it weren't, I think a game like Mario Kart would see complaints about the random item distribution. Even moreso for FFXIV to be okay, due to the fact racing isn't the point of the games existence, so it's not going to be as intricate as MK. There were several races that I took part in where everyone getting hit by the Meteors actually helped me win 1st more often than them causing something bad to happen.

How is something that almost triviallizes anything you could possibly do in an entire race fun?

I get meteored 3 times in a span of 3 seconds and I'm put at 5% of stamina when I'm at 45% of the race. I leave the controller on the floor whenever that happens. Don't think it's much fun to be honest.

How often would you say that specific scenario happens though? I mean, I've encountered pretty much exactly what you said, but it's been extremely rare. Even one meteor early on hitting everyone isn't that common in my own experience during the first half of the race (probably not even 1/3 the time). Meteors happening near the end, be it just one or a barrage of them, is far more common in my experience.

Well I'm getting millions of them in the tier bracket I'm in, it's literally an average of 2 choco meteors every race, and yes, there's always the one/couple guys that managed a hero's tonic, for some reason meteors and hero's tonics appear in the same chests a lot of times.

I can't speak for max R-brackets, but if that were the case, I think there'd be more complaints about that. Or at the very least, the strategy would be to fall back early on if it were that common to get a Meteor and /lol to victory.
