Most Amusing Dungeon Stories?

While working on my DRG relic, I had a DF Brayflox speedrun where the WHM out-dpsed both me and the bard. We were all ilvl-synced. :X Dat Holy spam! It was so awesome and yet I felt so ashamed of myself.

Another fun run was when I got Copperbell story for my lowbie roulette, again on DRG. Everyone was new except me. The tank never used Flash and stayed on the first monster he hit, the archer initiated pulls sometimes, and the healer dropped a Cure every time the tank got so much as a scratch. I said a few things to try and help, but didn't get any response. They seemed to be enjoying themselves anyway, so I cross-classed Skull Sunder and just kept the stray mobs off the healer.

Went into Snow Cloak with 3 FC mates, two DPS and myself on WHM - two of us full poetics gear, third in full Soldiery, as we were helping her clear it for the first time. I cast protect/SS2 and......... we sit there. Well, okay, maybe the tank's tabbed or whatever. I looked at his gear - all HQ Wootz. Huh. Someone's rolling in it.
He then promptly turns around and exits via the Exit portal.

Ooohhhkay?

We end up fighting our way through to the first boss via Regen pulling on myself (because I was going to grab hate with cures, regardless) and sleep spells while we wittled things down. Luckily, a new tank came in just as we hit the first boss room.


A time in Syrcus that was both funny and irritating... a monk in another alliance would always face pull bosses by..... sneezing a shoulder tackle.

I wanted to punch the guy the first time it happened, but it never led to a discernable problem, sooo... I was fine with it after that.

I just remembered another one reading through these (Now that I'm home from work).

Titan Hard Mode. We buff up, fence drops and BAM Warrior runs in and pulls. Okay, no problems. Must be pro, right?
Warrior proceeds to pull Titan to the middle of the room and run in circles around him while the rest of us watch in helpless horror.
DPS commences.
Warrior tank is still running in circles, Titan uses Mountain Buster and kills a couple people. We're all pretty annoyed, but at the same time it's strangely hilarious.
We all try explaining to the dude that he has to stand still. He only responds with faces in party chat. d(^_ ^) Keeps running in circles. Mountain buster kills some more DPS and the other tank.
Healers are triaging and not healing the Warrior. Other tank (A paladin) gets rezzed and tries to take aggro. Warrior provokes it right back. He's better geared so he keeps aggro.
Finally the Warrior dies. Yay!
Healer rezzes him. WTF!? Commence provoke-steal and circle, once again. Other tank promptly dies to another Mountain buster, along with some others.
We end up wiping.
Before we can initiate a vote-kick, the warrior charges in and pulls the boss. /facepalm
Pretty much a repeat performance.
Upon wiping we manage to vote kick the Warrior.
We pull the boss and start the fight. Things are going wonderfully.
Since it was a roulette, new tank joins.
It's the frickin' Warrior... He charges in, taunts, and holds it in the middle, running in circles.
We actually managed to kill it this way, but it was a mess. Warrior never said any words, only responded to people using face-emotes.

Last night:

Working on DRG Relic Titan HM:

Tanks run in just fine. DPS is going well and then people just started to die everywhere...

It continued on and on with people not running the safe zone after the bombs explode and running face first into Landslide.

Also, quite a few of us myself include dyed in a DRG way via WoL..

It was my worst experience ever and I may have lost my sanity.

I was leveling up an alt arcanist and queued up for toto-rak. Conjurer protects us and woo-hoo ready to rock. We run to first mob and CNJ in chat says: "bb" Uh...okay? Bathroom break, bye bye? no clue. Then 'BB!' We politely ask him to use his big boy words and the reply is 'staph'. We kill the mob, stop and wait. Ok, maybe dude really did have to go potty, lord knows we've all been there. CNJ then say 'job 30 min' and exits.

The tank and us two DPS stand there looking at each other like we've just had a close encounter with the deranged kind.


Apparently it made total sense that CNJ to accept a dungeon queue when he knew that he was late to work.

I was doing dragon neck when this happened. Found it so amusing I turned off HUD and starting recording on PS4, then turned it into a gif.

My most amusing story, Dragoon tanking the entirety of Qarn (HM), the tank dropped out at the beginning of the dungeon leaving us with just the two DD and Healer, decided to kill the fodder mobs while we waited for a new tank, got to the first boss, no tank, said what the hell let's try this, ended up clearing the dungeon with no tank (we wiped a couple times on some of the bosses like the cactuar...my god the cactuar...) Took awhile to clear the dungeon but since we never had a tank jump in it was fine.

Also side note: it appears to be a trend for tanks to be "checked-out" while in the DF...I find this odd, and a little alarming.

So long ago, but you totally reminded me of the time I entered what I think was Darkhold (it's been a while) via joining in progress... apparently there were two BLMs and the healer and tank had apparently checked out and left, leaving it as one healer (me) and two BLMs. Joined up with them in the middle of the dungeon, wondering why these two BLMs were here by themselves.... were they super bad? Trolls? Or were the tank/healer trolls... or totally innocent and just had to leave? *Shifty eyes of suspicion* Luckily it didn't seem to be the case as the two were perfectly fine. We stood around along the cliffs for a while (that's all I particularly remember of the dungeon... cliffs + a toad), waiting for a tank, before deciding we should just try moving forward. Not like we're losing anything at this point.

So three squishies tanking our way through. It wasn't pretty, but it we got through to the boss room before a tank arrived (Seem to have luck with tanks appearing for bosses o_O)

Bear in mind I have ran Qarn normal like...fifteen times.

This morning, I did a run with a couple of guildies, and somehow I forgot all four of the tablets by the last boss :L I was like "How does this even happen..." and walked back to get them.

This happened sometime ago but I was running halatali on my alt, lvling up LNC. There was marauder, arcanist and conjurer. For some reason arcanist and marauder started fighting, I wasn't really paying attention why but wild guess it had something to do with holding hate. Marauder got really salty, refused to keep going and tried to vote kick arcanist. Rest of us decided to just keep going without him, while he was bitching to us in party chat. When we finally got the dungeon done he announcent that he's reporting us all, arc cause they had disargeement and me and healer cause we let all that happen.

We let all...what happen? I never got my answer to that.
