I hope not. I'd hate to have to grind out the whole damn saga again on Machinist with next to no one doing 50 content.

I don't know. Unless it offers a non-trivial advantage, I'll probably never touch a long-haul weapon again. The only reason I put up with the relic grind was its ongoing upgrades and usefulness, but if I can expect weapons like this to be completely jettisoned periodically in favor of new grind chains, then they're no longer worth my time/effort/gil. Get the base gimme stage or two of whatever's new, then pick up token weapons after that and call it good. Its kinda funny though, you go to all this trouble making a zeta, imbuing the weapon with a soul and sentience of its own, and now you're gonna use it to prop up the sagging end of your coffee table and forget it exists.

My vote to Yoshi P:
* I hope Yoshi P grants some fair progress in the New Relic Quest in 3.0, for all players who've grinded out the current Relic Weapon.
(And not just a "I got my 2.0 Relic" T-Shirt!)![]()
I played this game at the start of 2.0. Here's the thing no one knows anything, and the people that do will not tell.
This is a game and it consumes time. Stop stressing and have fun. The Relic takes time and weather you loved it or hated it, there will always be new stuff to grind for.
What else are you going to do. It doesn't really matter what SE does we all know we're all going to do it.
The game isn't about ilevel it's about fun. take a break and do other stuff like mastering crafting or big fishing etc, etc. I love this game and I know you all do to, just don't burn your self out.

Really all the people who say start over on a new one come 3.0 are the same PEOplewho going to complain about the 3.0 relic grind again and probably quit? Yoshi already stated it will be a grind, I mean if it's the same ppl doing the relic quest in 3.0 what's the point in not continue the 2.0 relics. Like I said befor if all my efforts I put in for 3 zeta mean nothing in 3.0 then I wouldn't be doing relics for 3.0 to mean shit again in 4.0 for what? To let people who just start the game a week ago be on same footing as me who been playing since 1.0 lunch...
If you started the relic quest in 2.0, you had an upgradable wpn that you had to do NO RAIDS for, and spend NO TOMES on. FOR EVERY PATCH!!!!
Are you really gonna say your effort was wasted?
Edit: i probably should have stated current tomes, as relic always used the outdated uncapped tomes.

You need to check your sources... No tomes, shit I'm down 30mil I could have used on mid house or something else.. Also there are 4 type of weapons you can upgrade two of which are far easier to get over relics and raids.

Well if you didn't Sprit bond, Desynth or level your Crafters and Gathers then yes it will cost you a pretty penny because you wanted it as fast as possible.

Lol sorry but if you look at my profile you will see I have everything lvl cap, so no I use money because I want too beside w/e will I spend my 70mil on? I'll spend my Gil on what I want, but if I had know or even think SE would make 2.0 relic worthless come 3.0 I would have never wasted my Gil or time and that's my point why I'll be very bitter if this happen come 3.0
-The relic/zodiak can continue to be upgraded and all new players will have to start from the beginning, but all those 2.X steps you worked so darn hard on will be nerfed to oblivion and the entire chain made easy enough to complete in a week.
-The relic chain ends at Zodiak Zeta and a new chain begins in 3.0. Relic steps are not nerfed further and the Zeta becomes a status symbol and marker of an old, dedicated player.
Pick one.
