Starting new healer channel!

Hi guys!



I have a bunch of ideas that I'd like to share and I think they may be useful to my fellow healers.

Hopefully you guys think its useful, I don't claim to be the best in anyway, just sharing my opinion.

I managed to get out another video on what not to do as a healer. Its mostly directed to new healers because most of the said stuff are fairly simple.

I dont get what you mean in your description though:

Another way to cancel eos is by using this macro:
/macroicon Steady pet eos
/pac Obey
/pac Steady

I don't like using it however, because I like to keep eos on steady.

How is this not easier than the place thing, and what do you mean be keeping her on steady? After all, the macro just switches to obey and back to steady.

Since the 2.5 update, that macro no longer works reliably unfortunately

Yeah I read that. If I understand correctly, because the GCD of Embrace does now reset after you cancel it the fairy will immediately start casting embrace again - but I would guess the place thing suffers from the same issue, does it not?

I need to do some more testing, but when shes on Steady - Obey, you can cancel her spells and she won't heal immediately after because shes not healing someone that is under 80%.

Not 100% sure, but when shes on Guard - Obey, when she casts embrace when someone dips low, that embrace cannot be cancelled.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep, that is correct. The only real way to control the fairy skills at the moment is spam macros (/pac "skill" /pac "skill" /pac "skill")

Then my question remains, why not just press the one macro instead of the place thingy.
Personal preference aside, the macro looks more comfortable at the same result.

I just use the spam macros at the moment. I find the place macro far too cumbersome to use in most situations.

Steady/Guard have no effect on Auto-Embraces. The problem with the interrupt macros now is that you will only ever be want to interrupt an auto-cast, but if you try to, she will just start casting immediately.

With the pet AI as it is now, it is pointless to try and interrupt auto-casts of Embrace, because the fairy will just start casting it again straight away.

You're right about steady/guard.

The place cancel, or any cancel marcro only really helps when everyone is topped off I guess. Still useful for some situations like preparing for incoming damage that has yet to come and you want whispering dawn out at that moment.
