Character Creation Options!

Greetings everyone!

First off I wanted to say that it's great to hear the kinds of things you're looking for when it comes to updating the character creation options. We're seeing lots of interesting ideas pop up! We spoke with Yoshida and he said that of course, while these kinds of suggestions and ideas will take some time, they do have plans for it in the future! He also feels that it's important to offer the option to change your existing character's appearance at the same time, too.

Sounds pretty exciting, huh? What do you guys think?

I am all for additional options, at least twice as many. But as far as sliders go, I play a game with a high degree of customization, such as Dragon Age, where every facial feature has a slider, and it overwhelms me. I usually just cycle through hair style/color, eyes, height, skin tone, and other noticeable things, and skip over the small things like jawline, eye socket depth, nose flatness, etc. Let's not take it too far, just give more variety where it counts.

Nope. Only disadvantage of sliders is that it's extremely easy to get extremely ugly/unnatural results and extremely hard to get actually good looking chars.

And that's a big one.

When we are able to alter our character's appearance, will that include race/gender, name, guardian, and/or birth date?

Now if only you could get us an answer about the missing genders. That is part of Character Creation/Customization though so maybe its included but I can't hope blindly, Need a proper answer from the new leads.
