honestly you have have a game with 100 hair styles 100 colors 100 ways to highlight and 100 high light options and still will see a clone. Full customization takes up space. DCUO has full creative control on your characters outfit. (for tghe most part and that game turned out pretty small. I'm for more options but you also gonna consider space and it adding up quick. And sliders are not always a good thing. It can be hard to make a "pretty" character Some ppl can do it some can't.
100 hairstyles sounds so darn good to me![]()
Champions Online and City Of Heros were much better examples, just saying.honestly you have have a game with 100 hair styles 100 colors 100 ways to highlight and 100 high light options and still will see a clone. Space is a consideration yes but keep this in mind, the space used in CO/COH by costume pieces was saved by not having armor/weapons to model.
In DCUO they took a hit to costume customization to add more gear for players ( a decision most people playing that genre didnt like)
in FFXIV gear is already seperate, we wouldnt be customizing the whole character from head to toe, just their physical features.
(Though i guess APB had/has it both ways so i dont know what to say)
I'm not sure how you would implement a DoH Barber/hairstylist?
constructive...
I might have imagined this but I remember hearing a barber shop for XIV was considered at one point or was going to be added in. More hair styles would really be appreciated, I don't think we'll ever see sliders because SE likes control too muchBut more options for color and style, I don't see why that can't be added in later on.
