To people who say cosmetics aren't a priority: We know. lol

We aren't asking for then RIGHT NOWWWW!!!!11 we just want these cosmetic threads (missing genders, more options) to be noticed early on. I can't speak for everybody, but all I want right not is an answer. Yes or no. At least then I'll know whether I should keep caring about these things or not. lol

Lol. No it's not. That's an obvious hyperbole. FFXIV is on a completely different level that FFXI (few faces, few hairstyles to chose from, two colors per hairstyle and that's it).

Considering the high amount of absolutely hideous characters you see around in Aion or in games with similar options, that system is hardly perfect. Giving options where it counts tends to be more efficent than giving a lot of options that don't count, and make making a character that looks decent actually harder.

    No we don't.

Do you really think you should be able to change your hair, race, and gender? What is this some freebie Korean MMO?

It takes the basics of XI and adds a bit to them. Sure, it's better, but it's hardly anything in depth, and still very basic by today's standards. FFXI Redux.

This is the perfect awesome of customization they should have had... For FFXI.

With games like Tera, Rift, Aion, GW2 etc out you really need more customization than this. 4-8 hairstyles is just not enough... And maybe not everything needs a slider but I should have some body types to choose from... It should NOT be based on which face I pick!

People want to like there characters, it's important to have options to make your avatar unique to you so that you don't look like everybody else out there. When I'm zoomed out in game, I look justlike all the other Mi'qote's with the main 3 hairstyles everyone has...

Where is the variety and freedom in that?

It multiplies the customization options pretty much by ten, and I mean just the options, since the increase in combinations is exponential.
That's hardly what I would define a "bit".

It's pretty much in line with today's standards. Some cases with more options (which often lead to hideous results) hardly qualify as a "standard".

I have never even played Second Life. I just think my cat lady is too damn flat... What does this game have against some curvaceousness?

It's XI, with some minor enhancements. Is it better? Sure. Is it a continuation of XI's character creation? Yup.

You still have characters that roughly like the same. As OP showed, there are numerous ways to really make a difference, and many MMOs (and numerous other genres) do go for something a little more varied. Numerous people in this topic have agreed on this as well.

Because some people have apparently never seen what a real woman looks like. Therefore cannot be trusted to freely adjust there character so they can have a butt the size of a small car.

I'm not sure where you are going with your reply. The minimum and maximum are things that can be adjusted. It's not wise to disable options because you don't think you can limit or regulate them.

This game needs more customization for the characters. Hairstyles, body adjustments... Things to make you unique. So you recognize yourself among the thousands of others playing by something more than "if you zoom aaaaall the way to her face you will see she has a small scar on her left cheek... but I have one on my right cheek!"
