Character Creation Options!

Greetings everyone!

First off I wanted to say that it's great to hear the kinds of things you're looking for when it comes to updating the character creation options. We're seeing lots of interesting ideas pop up! We spoke with Yoshida and he said that of course, while these kinds of suggestions and ideas will take some time, they do have plans for it in the future! He also feels that it's important to offer the option to change your existing character's appearance at the same time, too.

Sounds pretty exciting, huh? What do you guys think?

Well it's been 5 months, haven't heard much since about this, so instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd post in this one. Is there any update or any kind of progress toward at least the goal of allowing us to go back to the original character creation screen and fix mistakes we made or just have a fresh look? I am extremely interested in this. 1.2? 1.21?

I'm glad it's in the plans. I just ask they do make it a priority . I love games where I can change my look up every once in a while. Really takes gives the game some flavor. I know making major content is def important, and it should stay that way. but something so simple as a barbershop would add a lot, and would take very little dev time.

if given the chance, I would def. remodel my character to a female hyur. after being miqo for so long and rarely seeing any hyur females, I kinda regret going miqo.

SE has done a good job in making sure that all the character options fit into the world of FFXIV. I hope that they continue this trend going forward.

As many have said on this forum, sliders are a very bad idea (and would require a near complete rebuild of the character creation and animation system).

Still, more options is a good thing, and I look forward to the barber option in the game as well.

sliders for face customization please. this way people will be able to create truly unique characters.

Sliders are okay as long as they are limited, I don't see SE giving us crazy free reign over their designs anyway... And where's the curly hair? Can you not design some curly longish hair????!! ^.^

Any longish hair would be nice that was not on a pony or pig tails...
