Character Creation Options!

Guess I'll chime in since its not been mentioned yet. There is a way to change your hairstyle, and even your face through .dat modding currently. {Can even use the face options from say a Keep of the Moon, on a Seeker of the Sun} There are also over a dozen hidden hairstyle never yet released across all the races. And they look great in-game so I dunno why they're not available yet.

I really like those unreleased hair-styles. Onion-head Taru...Lalafell!

This is a good opportunity to remind the devs of the hair-dresser NPC they had promised ages ago. Bahyone or Rukiri, when you see this could you maybe poke the devs and just enquire into the hairdresser NPC?
Would be so nice to be able to change our appearance. Sometimes it'S nice to change your hair-colour or hair-style. Or maybe those little tattoos and markings you can choose in char creation.

They could even add in a little quest to unlock it called: "Brygid the Stylist returns." (For those old FFXI players who would appreciate the reference).

they could do a quick fix to hold people over by just adding wigs to the game....lol but that might take the same process that gear takes to make.

You guys do realize those "unreleased" hairstyles are actually released but race-locked? Those miqo'te hairstyles are the ones of the lalafel and hyur respecitvely. Same for the others, the only one i'm not sure about is the onion-head.

I really like the idea of SE implementing hair style changes in game with a small fee of real currency just to keep people from having new hair every week. And I agree, this would be a little added revenue for the company as well.

Implement in-game hair-style change? Absolutely.

For real world money? No thanks.

We bought the game, we will be paying a subscription at some point... that's quite enough $$$ money spent.

Added as an in-game money sink? Sure.

In fact, I'm not even sure I've ever seen a MMO (outside of F2P/Cash Shop MMOs - and *please* don't let this game go in that direction) where hair-style changes were done for real money. It's always been via in-game currency.

Even so, it would have been better to add them than not add them. It really puzzles me why they didn't, since they're already there and ready to be used.

I don't like them, they have no character. What I'd love to see are more original and detailed hair other than "long hair" and "Long hair with a fringe" Beads, braids, feathers, curls, more bobs for girls and boys. I liked that one male Lalafell hairstyle for boys that was short. ): So cute.

Just making current hair styles cross race...blagh.

That one Mithra hairstyle from XI with the headband/ponytail was wonderful. I was kind hoping that one would have made a comeback rather than that chunky shaggy style that was so popular.

I get what you mean, Oscillate. I do like that we'll get more options, but would have loved to see more original styles than just race-locked ones crossing over. I also wish we had more options to further customize them, such as with some styles you're able to remove the bangs and such. I'd love to see more of that, but also include perhaps a length option for certain hairstyles that allow it.

That was my fav hairstyle and if they decide to add more to the game I really hope that is one of them.

Yeah I like that one Highlander/female midlander hairstyle with the upsweep, except the male version has braids on either side. I wish the female hairstyle had that detail, it's the hairstyle I use, and I love it. ): But the Highlanders got the best part of it.
Having that be one of the things you can play around with would have been wonderful. Just like turning fringes on and off.
