Character Creation Options!

You guys do realize those "unreleased" hairstyles are actually released but race-locked? Those miqo'te hairstyles are the ones of the lalafel and hyur respecitvely. Same for the others, the only one i'm not sure about is the onion-head.

Even so, it would have been better to add them than not add them. It really puzzles me why they didn't, since they're already there and ready to be used.

I don't like them, they have no character. What I'd love to see are more original and detailed hair other than "long hair" and "Long hair with a fringe" Beads, braids, feathers, curls, more bobs for girls and boys. I liked that one male Lalafell hairstyle for boys that was short. ): So cute.

That one Mithra hairstyle from XI with the headband/ponytail was wonderful. I was kind hoping that one would have made a comeback rather than that chunky shaggy style that was so popular.

That was my fav hairstyle and if they decide to add more to the game I really hope that is one of them.

I also wish we had more options to further customize them, such as with some styles you're able to remove the bangs and such. I'd love to see more of that, but also include perhaps a length option for certain hairstyles that allow it.

Yeah I like that one Highlander/female midlander hairstyle with the upsweep, except the male version has braids on either side. I wish the female hairstyle had that detail, it's the hairstyle I use, and I love it. ): But the Highlanders got the best part of it.
Having that be one of the things you can play around with would have been wonderful. Just like turning fringes on and off.

They hyped this up so much, that it was going to be great etc... but really this would have been great when ffxi came out in 2002... But now almost 10 years later it sucks.

Can I please have more than 8 hairstyles to choose from?

Can I please be able to modify my ass and boob size -.-?

Can I have a slider for the height, instead of choosing weather I want to be tall/tallest/shortest etc... ?

In fact can I have sliders for everything... From face to body and everyhing in between?


Can I choose colors for my underwear? Maybe even have a couple different styles?

I know people really want the battle and content problems fixed and I'm not saying I want this to be number one priority, but I just want to point out that this area... Is severely lacking. 1 out of 8 of the same race in FFXIV has the exact same haircut. Seriously, Eorzea needs a new barber/hairstylist. . . /cry

Customization of the character may not seem a big deal... but actually it is! Perhaps even barber shops located throughout Eorzea in the future to change hairstyles for gil?

I too would love some more hair options, and I'd REALLY love height and other body modifying sliders. They could do something similar to Phantasy Star Universe's body modification, which allowed for unique body types without having the ridiculously shaped characters you see in WoW or Aion.

Hair based on characters from other FF games would be interesting. Humorously enough, Aion already did have Cloud's hair (the Advent Children version) and it was awesome.

Hum... count me as supporting this, I guess.

I was certainly impressed by character creation - there are MMOs of the same intended standard with worse. But that said it is far from the best in the industry, and we all had pretty low expectations after that pathetic excuse for a character creation system in XI.

So, while I was indeed overjoyed to see my face shape was no longer tied to my choice of two hairstyles with their two colours and basically nothing else.. of course greater customisability is always lovely. You can never have enough, to be honest.

That said.. I think a character re-customisation option is something I'd prefer to see added first, albeit perhaps as a premium feature.
