im 28 and im lovin it!

old enough that my first music was on vinyl and 8-track.....when they were both still considered a mainstream thing. oh the scratched records >_>

45 and 33 1/3. 78s were still there but rare at that point. I used to toy with my player speeds to make the records sound weird, cause what was the point of having those speeds if you didn't use em every so often :P
btw KISS Love Gun 33 1/3 sounds really weird on 78 speed

Its like an old timers meeting in here, discussing the days of yore. Scratched records, or having to put a coin on the arm so it would not skip. Anyone ever have to put aluminum foil on a TV antenna? So you could watch the handful of TV channels that existed.

35 here. Surprising how everyone else's answers makes me feel not that old :P

lol, someone else who knows there were 3 speeds!!
I had some old 78's, though I can't honestly remember where I got them, it was an old linguaphone set. I can't claim that 78s were the standard in my time, for me it was 45s and 33 1/3 as well.
lol, yes a penny was normally enough to prevent skipping. and foil was good, but a wire hanger was better.

my player had some sort of weight in the arm so I didn't need to do that. was hell on the records if the needle wasn't replaced on time.
I didn't actually do this for my TV cause we had a huge antenna on the roof of our house with a dial to make it turn, but my cousin did the noises of the foil on the antenna when he moved it ~shivers~

Thirty Four

43. Old enough to have my first game system be the Atari 2600 at a over $100.00. (199.00 I think)
Old enough to remember when you could rent a VHS for 1.99 but to own it you had to pay over $100.00
Old enough be in the last days of when you could smoke in high school
...headbands and leg warmers were my reality
