Beginners Guide to Eorzea

Do you think crafting should go in a beginners guide? Someone else mentioned gathering classes to me but I wasn't sure if it belonged in a beginners guide aside from a light mention stating you could change to this at a certain point. I was contemplating doing crafting and gathering as a different guide.

Do people consider this really important info for new players?

There are a lot of beginners that are REALLY interested in crafting, and it's important to know whether or not it's worth pursuing for them. I know some people who REALLY wish someone had mentioned to them starting out the value of crafting (namely, materia melding and self repairs at the least)
Gathering is worthwhile too, as it's one of the easiest ways to make money (mining and botany) or level desynthing (fishing) which is valuable to know.

Okay well those are good points, I'll add it to the list.

I remember when the game launched the FC I was a part of needed a 50 Botanist so I leveled it in a week, and then when I got to 50 they decided it didn't matter and completely ignored the fact I leveled it. I was pretty irritated by that and I did it before 2.1

Hmm okay. I always personally thought it was something I would tab under "Advanced Information" but if other players are seeing it as an important information for new players I can add it to the list and make a specific video that goes over gathering and crafting.
