Beginners Guide to Eorzea

Hello everyone,

So within the last couple of months we've been streaming FFXIV a lot and we get a lot of people watching and asking questions and got some new people to start. I've been thinking about creating a "Beginner's Guide to Eorzea" that would help new players along their journey to finishing the 2.0 Main Story and hitting 50.

The content I was thinking of would explain:
Character Creation
The Roles
Choose a Class that's right for you
Exploring the 3 Nations - where things are
Hotbar/Cross Bar and you
Mog Station and You
Menus - Character, Inventory, Armory Chest, Teleport, Duty, etc
Market Board - How/when/where (when referring to level/story progression)
Settings aka configuration and HUD
Icons to know - in relation to maps, mini maps, classes
Targeting
Aggro System
The Language
With submitted questions being answered at the end of videos
With Submitted tips where appropriate



And that's all I can think about right now. But I also wanted to see veteran and newbie players alike would want from a guide like this. What do you struggle with, what questions do you want answered, what advice are you looking for, what tips do you have, what advice do you have, and stuff like that.

Any questions or opinions given will be given credit in the guide videos, and no all of this won't be in one video, it would go across multiple videos but be put in the playlist.

What about a level 50 guide? Because I know they have added a lot of end game stuff since I became 50 and I know some mates of mine that are a little over whelmed by everything the game offers them, they only got level 50 last week.

What about a level 50 guide? Because I know they have added a lot of end game stuff since I became 50 and I know some mates of mine that are a little over whelmed by everything the game offers them, they only got level 50 last week.

This is something I could consider doing after I finish this initial guide. I figured I'd call it "The Guide through Before the Fall" and it would go over the world of End Game and how to accumulate Sol and Poe, the dungeons, the importance of iLevels and what to expect from the dungeons. I am still fresh for some of this content since I need to EX primals Levi-Shiva+Moogle King and All of Coil.

Do you think crafting should go in a beginners guide? Someone else mentioned gathering classes to me but I wasn't sure if it belonged in a beginners guide aside from a light mention stating you could change to this at a certain point. I was contemplating doing crafting and gathering as a different guide.

Do people consider this really important info for new players?
