New Jobs coming! Which is right for you?

Astrologian because I'm a healer main and I enjoy healing too much to give it up.

Machinist will be the next one afterwards since the character they used to demonstrate Machinist is almost the same model I use, so now everyone in my FC is telling me that I'm the engineer in the group (doesn't help I'm actually an engineer IRL too, lol)

Machinist because I'm always at my best with Mobile Range DPS classes. Not to mention it is a Gun Job.

Until they release the Gunblade Job in the distant future content once we can enter the Garlean Empire

Only one im really into is DRK. Swords are huge, hopefully that means good AoE, they look badass, and the magic based tanking sounds intriguing. Much as I like sword'n'board for tanking, PLD is kinda repetitive. Only thing I didnt like about DRK is they seem kinda slow on the attack.

Much as I like ranged non-caster type DPS, guns arent my thing, and Machinist guns dont look very appealing. Which sucks since with Machinist coming I have very little chance of getting a good ranged DPS that doesnt look like a court jester (BRD).

I wouldve been more interested in AST if it was damage dealer. Hoping one of their stances will allow it to do decent DPS if only outside of dungeons at least. Sounds like too much RNG for my taste but ill have to try it out first. Not a fan of the weapon either. SCH still appeals most to me as healer.

Machinist - been waiting since start of 1.0 when Musketeer was leaked for them to finally bring out a gun class~! Not passing this up!! Though Dark Knight looks cool, and I'm thinking of trying that 2nd.

I'll give DRK a look, but I don't generally play tanks in serious content. I just use tank for fast dungeon queues, easier hunt credit, and certain instances if needed (e.g. T7, T10, HM primals...etc.)

DRG/MNK will continue to be my focus

I am going to play all of them ultimately, but Astrologian is going to be my first goal. I have always been a big lover of healing jobs and it looks like an interesting take on the role. Dark Knight I'm rather less interested in than the others. There is still that part of my mind that simply can't understand the reasoning behind making a HP-devouring class into a tank. If nothing else I'll level it just to have every job option available.

On topic though, I'll probably mess around with MCH some, Mustadio was kinda a beast in FFT but that'll be after my NIN is 60 for sure.

In all seriousness though... gotta see how they all play before deciding if I really want to play as any of them.

Machinist might draw my curiosity immediately because I'd like to know if S-E learned from the Puppetmaster experience. I'm usually hesitant to jump into Tank and Healer jobs upon release until I get some data about them.
