Pharos Sirius' Zu

I've recently started both tanking and running dungeons for my Monks Zodiac drops, but have hit a situation in Pharos Sirius on the last few runs.

It's had been a while since I last ran it, but I'm certain the tactic has long been settled as "kill 1 egg each hatch" to enrage her without making her go murderous and reduce the number of chicks to deal with.

But the last few runs I've had 1 dps go insane and wipeout as many eggs as possible in the first few seconds of the fight, making the Zu go mad and causing a couple of wipes (I got a handle on it by the fourth run and din't wipe on round 1).

Every time I've asked what they're doing, and if this is some tactic I don't know of and don't understand, but they have never said anything, and even if other party members do say anything, they have no idea what the mental dps was doing. Then the dps did it AGAIN if we had wiped.

So my question is, am I missing something, or have I just had several consecutive runs with nutcases? I'd really like to know what I'm missing if this is some new tactic (And what the point is). Otherwise I'm going to start voting to kick these people if they wipe us without responding.

None of these runs have had a newcomer bonus.

I think you've had runs with nutcases, I haven't seen or heard of anything on the lines of killing all eggs. Hell, there's no point since it's easy to just bumrush the Zu and any adds spawned now.

Outright ignore adds if your ilvl is high enough, or as tank just scoop up the adds with AoE and turn back to Zu.

Never touch eggs. Eggs are the Ultros & Typhon of dungeon bosses. New people never get the mechanic right no matter how meticulously detailed your explanation is. Better to just give them a free pass on it.

The buff that Zu gets is really dumb. Better to just DPS all spawns down.

She hits the target with an AOE stun. Which person are you suggesting to attack eggs? The only member of the party who can tank the dive from Zu with the stun effect is the tank.

with sufficient gearing you can ignore the adds completely and DPS burn the boss. The adds don't hit hard at all and really the only damage threat is from their ranged attack (which they stop doing after a few seconds). A healer can actually heal-tank all of the adds while the Zu is able to be damaged if the healer is overgeared. Once the Zu takes to the air you can kill some of the adds to alleviate the damage. Might as well since you can't attack the Zu anyway at that point.

I actually have no idea how are you supposed to legitimately do the Zu fight. I always just burn the Zu down unless someone tells me to do something different.
