"Roulette" rule

I've been hunting for an NPC with this rule for a few days now and I've never ever seen it in play. What's the deal? Is there no guarantee it'll be in play / is it on some timer or rotation?

I'd really like to get my Vaan card — sadly it seems quicker to play 300 matches in a row than attempt to procure Terra or Bartz.

I have heard 1 random box per week gets it but cannot confirm.

As far as I know, the rule "roulette" is only available when playing other in-game players. I've never seen an NPC with that as a rule. I advise playing with your friends under the roulette rules whenever you do play them.

Maisenta in New Grid was random for me last week on my Balmung alt. She's the one that sells the starting race gear.

If she no longer is offering the random, then the first reply is correct.

Use this as a tracker for your own server's data center. It has to be updated by players at every reset but it helps others.

Random rule =/= Roulette rule

as far as i know, no NPC plays with roulette rule

Damn auto correct on phone. Meant to say 1 random npc for 1 day a week.
Had baedron(sp) last week and some guy in U'Dhal the week before that on Hyperion.

Could have sworn i played one of the npcs in gold saucer who had roulette as a rule. I got the achievement for it but didn't know at the time what it meant. And since i have only played one other player, and without any weird rules, i would say a random npc gets the roulette rule for a set amount of time.

Every day the regional rules for a data center are reset. One of the new rules that the NPC's who play by regional rules (not all do) have might be Roulette. It's totally random if one, many, or any of the regions will happen to have that rule on any given day. I've been using (and updating for Aether when I can) the site Kalandros linked to for a week or so now, and it is accurate. I see at least one region on Aether with Roulette maybe every couple days, and some of the days have had like, four regions with Roulette. It's just pure RNG who gets what each day.
