As long as it does has a much content as 2.0 launch I'll pay for a digital CE (no choice on EU PS3...) but it does seem pricey, most I paid for ex-packs in past was £20 for the C&C series expansions.
CE is tailored to "collectors" so the pricing is whatever SE feels it can be sold on, anything added to "base" expansion is a plus so you will be the one deciding if all extra stuff is worth of the price. Will not talk about 'unique' items because you all know, it will be likely to happen you can get them anyway later on shop.
Or else you can buy just the base expansion. Extra stuff is extra.
Steam sale where?
Jk lol
They said that it will have as much content as the main game, so the Heavensward standard edition is priced reasonably.
I do think 129.99 ridiculous price for CE, when it only has blue ray, artbook and dragon figure. I would've expected to get 1 month free with that kind of price.
I'm happy with my digital CE though. If people have that kind of money then they can buy the 129.99, it's their own decision in the end.
well i have no clue as to what steam is/does, but from how sony handled its vita games at launch (39.99 physical, 34.99 digital) on even day 1 games i figured most digital sales were supposed to be cheaper. i own ff14 as a digital copy from what i believe was a mistake so i didnt know if it was cheaper than physical or not.
Steam is a platform where you can buy a lot (like, really a lot) of games as digital copies. The prices are around the same as the physical copies. Though (and that's where it becomes interesting) they hold sales in summer and around christmas, with reductions from 30% to 90% (some games may even be free when they feel like it. As an example, they offered Portal for free for 3 days after Portal 2 release) on nearly all the big hits of the year.
They also have regular sales throughout the year, with 10-30% reduction most of the time on indies.
(that's PC exclusive though)
