Cannot connect to Aether data center.

I DCd ten minutes ago from Balmung and have since tried to get back in. I keep getting error 2002 at the start menu. Changing to other datacenters works, but soon as I try to select Aether again, there goes Error 2002 again.

Has happened 8-10 times in a row now.

Edit: Up to 30 attempts now. Still no go.

Edit of edit: after 40 or so times I finally got to the Characters selection screen. Problem solved? Perhaps for me and for now. Servers are really messing up these days.

I can't connect to Gilgamesh either. Every time I try, I get a message stating there are 594 players in queue, except I've been getting that message with that exact same number for the past ten minutes now.

Aaand it's happening again. Have entered my password 5 times now. Error 2002 over and over.

Same thing is happening to me. I wish square enix had a support system in place for the weekends.

there may be corruption issues with the data from the forced disconnect. Have you opened a ticket with SE at the support portal? This forum is designed more around being a user-to-user support tool than something more direct to SE (details are in the sticky welcoming you to the forum).

If it indeed is something screwed up with the character data, it will require an exchange of sensitive information and they would direct you to the portal anyways...may as well take the more direct route to the source from the start.

I already opened up a ticket. However they dont work on weekends. Therefore i have been helpless all weekend. they wont get back to me until maybe tomorrow

This has been a problem for me since last night as well! I got 90ked and kept getting 2002 errored. I managed to get back on twice for two minutes before getting 90ked again.

Now It's almost been 24 hours and I still cannot connect to the aether datacenter with 2002 errors all over the place. I get 2002ed for every other datacenter besides the elemental one, which doesn't help at all.

I'm not sure what I should do. T__T
