Chat-specific keyboard error: double first letter

Steps:

1. Use the Configuration tool to set chat-specific keyboard.
2. With the chat window not selected, start typing (happens with /s, /l, /p, and probably /sh) -- about 60-80% of the time the first letter (only) will duplicate. For example, typing "Hello!" will give: "HHello!"

The only time I get letter duplication is for the first letter I type using chat-specific keyboard, so it's not a problem with my keyboard.

Does this only happen with ffxiv? You using any special kind of keyboard(non-english)? Does it happen when you plug in a different keyboard?

It's just a regular, English keyboard from Dell. It's USB-based. The only game I play is FFXIV, and there's not letter duplication outside of the game. I don't have a second keyboard to test. Hope that helps...

This is not a technical issue. It has been reported in the bug forms before, and commented on by the dev team as something they are aware of and working to fix. Obviously they have not tracked down the problem yet.

I have experienced this problem as well.
