Could the New Summoner Limit Break be EPIC Summon Attacks? (or, OMG FF XV's Ramuh!)

Having played the demo, when I got to that part, my mind went from O.O to Oksdopgidfiogjdfk[ogjdgjdgiodkg. I know that a summoning on this scale will never happen in FFXIV, but OMFG..OMFG...OMFG, the Ramuh in FFXV is how a summon should feel lile. The developers needs to step up and change two things:

1: Remove the EGI or keep them untill the Heavensward content, where the summoner will form a pact with the real Primals. The hero will feed his or her own aether to summon the Primal, this way the Primal will not harm others. I mean does anyone realy prefer the EGI over a real Primal?

2: If we are stuck with the current EGI, give them a makeover, the current ones look like a pile of aether put toghter on a table.

I'm so glad that the OP included screenshots of Rydia and Yuna. Rydia was the wild rockstar party member of FF4, and Yuna could absolutely break FF10 wide open with just a little bit of nudging. They should be the gold standard against which all summoners are held.

Obviously, the class shouldn't be made overwhelmingly powerful, mathematically, but some sense of superpowered shock and awe must be invoked by those who fearlessly wield the most dangerous power in Eorzea.

Well Dragoons have the eye of Nidhogg so maybe tied for the most dangerous power in Eorzea. :P

If they add summons that aren't current primals I wouldn't care, but if it's a case of "I'ma go summon Levi, Titan, Ifrit, Garuda.. etc etc" then I'll have issues with current lore. At this point in time, summoning one of them would be far too risky, as they're just as likely to turn around and come after the party.

They have already harnessed the power of the primals via allag inventions (Ultima) so what is to say that technology cant be replicated and given in the form of the Summoner's Soul Stone? You wouldn't be summoning them but their power/likeness, which means it would be under your control.

Also lore-wise I wouldn't worry about summoners primals turning on us, its the Eye of Nidhogg I'd be worried about. How many people have leveled Dragoon to 50? Everyone who has has the potential to fall prey to Nidhogg's power of influence. Which is more scary, an army of adventurers or a couple primals that have been killed too many times to count?

Yes, and most of that tech was sealed away in the CT because we clearly don't understand it or it's capacity.

That's part of the build up of the story. Completely different. People are asking to forsake the story that has passed where primals have a HUGE disdain for the human/esque mortals with exception to the beastman tribes. That is my problem with this. Eye of Nidhogg is a potential lead in to plot devices. Whereas primal summoning is just, hey forget the past story. If they can work it in reasonably beside the "Let's use allag tech. (that we don't know enough about)" plot device; fine, I'm good with it.

Having the normal trial sized primal show up and do their ultimate for lb3 doesn't sound too bad, I mean currently you can't see anything when Meteor is used so just having the primal show up might actually be more beneficial in that maybe we could still see what's actually happening during and right after the cast.

And yes, having a mini Ifrit would be laughable since we are used to primals being this big massive trial. Having one would the size of a Roe could become a nuisance because you would have problems seeing things in fights. Whether you like Egi or not, I feel devs made the right call and I have grown accustom to my pets.
