The problem with this argument is that every other item on the Square Enix store is converted correctly. Even the other Heavensward packages are done better (Though, not perfect, $60 Digital CE should RRP for £40, like every other $60 game, not £45). The Physical CE is the only place they are price gouging. You can throw all the taxes you want, it wouldn't come to even close to a difference of $60. Plus, merchandise from SE Europe are dispatched from LONDON Midlands, UK. Not Japan.

And we know SE don't care nor will do anything, they've already been avoiding questions about it, 17 dev posts yesterday and not a single one in the second biggest thread on the forums yesterday.

You are aware that the EU bound CE boxes are also getting shipped via London right? This isn't a tax/duty issue, nor is it down to shipping and handling, it's just plain daylight robbery unfortunately. Whilst you are likely right in that SE frankly won't care what we think about the matter, I suspect that the European store actually breaks EU consumer laws in how it forces regionalised pricing structures on customers within the continent.

US, Japan and EU all have separated versions, meaning there is no import tax. The only thing that would prevent such behaviour is to collectively not buy the physical CE.

Unfortunately, this will not happen. The CE will sell out and SE will not care as they will have their money either way.
