New Player LF Active FC - Read Before Recruiting, Please

I am a level 50 (Ilvl 74) Paladin who's barely scratched level 50 content for a few reasons but one primarily large one : I can't stand duty finder and its extremely rush-focused mentality. I would go into my personal issues and experiences with duty finder as a new level 50 but that not only detracts from the point of this topic but also would give off a pretty bad first impression.

With that said, here's some key points about myself.

I am an extremely shy but skilled player who prefers small group content to large group content in MMORPGs but have considerable experience in both environments. Speaking generally, I consider myself a very skilled melee DPS-role player but that doesn't mean much in this case for two reasons : I'm not even maining as a DPS class here, and the larger hurdle and eventual benefit for me in FFXIV is experiencing fights. That said, I consider myself fairly quick to learn fights.

My shyness is brought up because honestly speaking, it's more of a detriment than a benefit. I am willing to commit to guilds I've been in although usually from behind the scenes. For example, if a rare item is needed, I'd be willing to farm months for it. If the guild is discussing bar stories, I will more than likely not say a word and maybe altogether do something else.

Negative parts aside, I believe myself to be humble, quiet, and cooperative a majority of the time.

With that in consideration, I am looking for an active, and welcoming FC that also has a bit of a progression mentality. Primarily, I am wanting to join for fun, and to actually enjoy running dungeons at a semi-leisurely pace (In a blunt clarification : This doesn't mean slow, this means a ninja isn't running ahead of me pulling everything).

I'm also willing to switch my main if its needed for some reason. Currently I'm playing Paladin because I'm looking forward to Dark Knight, and trying to become more experienced as a tank in preparation for when Dark Knight releases. Also worth noting I have tank-phobia of sorts, which does not make the duty finder any more appealing.

Hello, i am a part of a decent sized FC with a rank of 8. We focus on all areas of the game from raiding, PvP, crafting, and anything else. We do have a group that is going through the coils (including me) We are working on T6-T8, but also form groups when people need to get through something like the Hard Mode Primals. We encourage people to go and do what they want to and do so at there own pace.
